Supervisor John Folstad brings a wealth of experience from numerous frontline and executive leadership positions. With extensive expertise in developing, implementing, and overseeing budgets, John has a strong background in financial management. He served for 24 years as a Deputy Medical Examiner in Eau Claire County, providing him with significant insights into public health and emergency services.

John's personal experiences also shape his professional perspective. As a father of a son with Down Syndrome, he is well-acquainted with the services offered by the Department of Human Services (DHS) and advocates for effective support for individuals with disabilities. Additionally, his considerable experience with EMS services and his tenure as Chairman of the Life Link Air Transportation Services Board of Directors underscore his commitment to public safety and healthcare.

Supervisor Folstad has served on the Eau Claire County Board since April 2022.
